Wrong Designation

Lately, a Russian TV network or Russia Today (RT) have wrongly designate Japan,New Zealand,Papua New Guinea, and South Korea in a map placing Japan on the position of New Zealand and South Korea on the position of Papua New Guinea.

The mistake was done while RT's news presenter was reporting about the US plan to place missiles in Australia,South Korea, and Japan.Australia was correctly designated but Japan and South Korea were not.The news presenter was reporting about the US plan but the map shown is incorrect only Australia is correct.

"The mistake came in a segment produced by their US bureau about potential new missile bases in "Japan",South Korea, and Australia".But in a large, erroneous graphic only Australia was correctly labelled." (The Guardian)

RT or Russia Today have apologized for what happen and ensure it will not happen again.

"Russian news channel RT has apologised for apparently accidentally labeling New Zealand as "Japan", and Papua New Guinea as "South Korea" in an embarrassing Southern hemisphere mix-up." (The Guardian)

According to the news, this is not the first time New Zealand have experienced such disappearance in the world map.
