Scientists have been studying spinach – yup the one you buy in the market and eat on you table where Popeye love – as a new, promising and more effective catalyst and fuel cell. Spinach will be use as a source of clean and sustainable energy and fuel.

According to the news, spinach as catalyst outdone and outperforms commercial platinum catalyst. Spinach leaves are being processed to be use for renewable source of fuel or energy and according to the findings of scientists, spinach is more effective. However, spinach as source of fuel and energy is not yet available for usage on the real world.

“Scientists from the American University (AU) have found a way to use spinach as a catalyst for an oxygen reduction reaction in fuel cells and metal-air batteries. It works by accelerating the reaction to produce sufficient current and create energy.”(Energy Live News)
