Osaka,Japan - Japanese people were surprised when a 6.1 magnitude earthquake hit the city.Three as of now were reportedly dead and more than 300 people injured.
"The quake caused water mains to burst,walls to topple and a number of fires to break out,with more than 300 people reported to have been injured." (SkyNews)
The earthquake hit "...just before 8 a.m,. (2300 GMT Sunday) as commuters were heading to work." (Reuters)
"It disrupted the morning commute for thousands of people,including those outside the city,with bullet trains and subway services suspended while they were checked for damage." (SkyNews)
The earthquake hit during the morning rush hour on Monday June 18,2018 or early Monday.
"The epicenter of Monday's earthquake was just north of Osaka city at a depth of 13 km (8 miles),said the Japan Meteorological Agency.The agency originally put the magnitude at 5.9 but later raised it to 6.1." (Reuters)
