"Time Is Pointless" Want To Abolish It

Norway - The islanders on the Norwegian island - Sommaroy - want to abolish time and the concept of time because of the sun never sets for days (as well as there is no sun but darkness for days) in their place so that they can be free to do what they wanted to do and never be slave of time just like if they want to swim at 4 a.m. they can do it or want to do a painting activity on one's house at 2 a.m. they can do.

Their place will be the world's first "Time- Free" place in the planet.

"Residents of a Norwegian island where the sun does not set for 69 days of the year want to abolish the concept of time..... The push would abolish traditional business hours and 'conventional time-keeping' ..." (ABC)

"Sommaroy spends November to January in darkness, but in summer residents know that when the sun rises on 18 May, it will not set again until 26 July...'It's constant daylight'..." (The Guardian)

"The main reason for the initiative is the island is in permanent darkness between November and January. Then on May 18,when the sun rises,it doesn't set until July 26.In hindsight, time is pointless."(Newshub)

"A Norwegian island wants to abolish time, and in doing so would become the first time-free zone in the world.Residents of Sommaroy believe knowing what time of day it is is unnecessary." (Newshub)

The idea to abolish time, according to the report would mean there would be no closing time for shops in the island and to provide flexibility and to live the residents lives to the fullest and reduce stress due to time keeping.
