Video Shows Animal Maltreatment

Indiana,US - Recently, a video has been released,particularly online, showing animal cruelty and abuse by a farm where  The Coca-Cola Company and Fairlife rely their dairy products.



The video shows how the employees of the farm maltreated cows and their children. The video shows the animal are being kick,thrown,hit,step on,exposed in a extreme heat,and others what they do to the animals.

The farm is the Fair Oaks Farm in Indiana.

The video was released by Animal Recovery Mission (ARM).ARM is a none profit organization that aims to eliminate animal abuse and cruelty around the world.The video is a secret footage.

"The Animal Recovery Mission sent undercover workers into Fair Oaks Farms in Indiana, one of the largest dairy farms in the country that supplies milk for Coca-Cola’s Fairlife brand.The footage was released on Wednesday, and it shows workers punching, kicking and throwing calves as well as beating the animals with steel rods and plastic milking bottles “on virtually a daily basis.” Newborn calves are crudely branded and given inadequate food and nutrients. Dead and dying animals are left to bake in the sun and male calves are sold to veal farms, despite the farm claiming the contrary." (Collective Evolution)

However,Coca-Cola Company and Fairlife vows to address the animal abuse and cruelty.The founder of the Fair Oaks farm have already made an apology video.

"Mike McCloskey,founder of Fair Oaks Farm responded to the abuse video via a video apology.In video,McCloskey said three of the employees shown in ARM's undercover video has been terminated three months ago for animal abuse.A fourth employee was fired after the video's release. McCloskey promised to install cameras in every area that the farm houses animals for 24-hour surveillance .Fair Oaks Farm has also hired Food Safety Net Services Certificarion & Audit to conduct unannounced audits of the farm every two to four weeks. Finally,Fair Oaks Farm is working with law enforcement to prosecute the abusers in the video." (Atlanta Business Chronicle)
