White Van Kidnapping

Philippines -  In the Philippines, there is a recent scare of a passing white van vehicle that kidnaps people on the road, thus when people saw a white van passing by they run into safety in fear they may be kidnapped.

The purported kidnapping by a white van vehicle was supported by a CCTV footage wherein people where kidnap by a white van passing by.The kidnapping incident spread on social media platforms in the internet wherein people were missing and were suspected to be kidnapped by a white van passing by.

But the Philippine police or the Philippine National Police (PNP) as in the news, has debunked the incident and said that "... no recent abduction transpired using a white van nor reported series of abductions lodged in police stations and news networks..." (Manila Bulletin)

The kidnapping incident is just a hoax; a fake news. The white van kidnapping is not true. "... the reports about the alleged abductions of individuals using white van have been circulating in social media platforms as early as 2018 "but were found to be a hoax"... no organized and simultaneous abductions were confirmed..." (Manila Bulletin)

"The Philippine National Police (PNP) belied on Friday reports circulating in social media about the abduction of several individuals supposedly for the harvesting of their organs as perpetrated by men driving around the metropolis in a white van..." (Manila Bulletin)

Proofs that the incident is fake is the story of a 10-year-old boy in Bulacan and the teenage girl in Cavite which invented their abductions by men riding in a white van; their stories of abductions is fake as they admit it that they just invented it and use the white van kidnapping incident.

The CCTV footage or captures were said to be also Fake which as the news said were invented that are involved in the video.

The Philippine National Police (PNP) "... warned that purveyor of fake abductions cases in social media may face charges including violation of Presidential Decree 90 (Declaring Unlawful Rumor-Mongering g and Spreading False Information),and unlawful use of Means of Publication and unlawful utterance under Article 154 of the Revised Penal Code in relation to section 6  of Cyber crime Prevention Act of 2012.
