Light-Absorbing Water Creatures

Scientists or expert on such marine lives have discovered creatures in the deep dark sea or ocean creatures that are light-absorbing and going along the deep darkness of the deep dark sea or ocean.

Their captures from their cameras or water gadgets is “terrible” though it has light to capture what is in the dark deep sea or ocean. Their water gadgets capture no any details as if the water creatures absorb the light from their water gadgets. The water creatures are light-absorbing.

The experts conclude perhaps it is because of prey-predator set-up that is why.

Their skins the experts say are “ultra-black” or their black skins are adopting to the blackness or darkness of their surroundings camouflaging.

These water creatures are said to be a nature version of the man-made material called “Vantablack” because these creatures like “Vantablack” absorbs light.

“……Vantablack, the famous human-made material that absorbs almost all the light you shine at it.” (Wired)

“Vantablack is a material developed by Survey NanoSystems in the United Kingdom and is one of the darkest substance known, absorbing up to 99.965% of visible light ( at 663 nm if the light is perpendicular to the material ).” (Wikipedia)

Thus, the water creatures discovered by the experts particularly fishes are called “Vantafish”.

According to the report, the experts discovered 16 species which skin are “ultra-black”.

“Scientists just discovered 16 species of deep-sea fish with “ultra-black” skin. One species absorbs an astonishing 99.956% of light that hits it – making it nearly as black as the human-made Vantablack.” (Wired Twitter)

One of the species they discovered is the Pacific black dragon.

“The Pacific black dragon is one of 16 species that scientists just discovered has specialized “ultra-black” skin, rendering the fish virtually invisible in the depths.” (Wired)
