US – Harvard researchers or experts
in the United States says that intermittent or continued social distancing
measures should be imposed and observe until year 2022 in the absence of vaccine or treatment against COVID-19 as a way
to contain the spread of virus on the United States unless there is already a
vaccine or treatment available.
“ “Intermittent distancing may be
required into 2022 unless critical care capacity is increased substantially or
a treatment or vaccine become available,” Harvard researchers said in findings published
Tuesday in the journal Science.” (NBC News)
“Researchers said social distancing
may have to be extended unless a vaccine become available or “critical care
capacity is increased”” (NBC News)
“The United States may need to
endure social distancing measures to fight the coronavirus outbreak until 2022,
according to researchers at the Harvard School of Public Health.” (NBC News)
“The US may have to endure social
distancing measures – such as stay-at-home orders, and school closures – until 2022,
researchers projected on Tuesday. That is, unless a vaccine or better therapeutics
become available, or we increased our critical care capacity, in other words,2022
is one scenario of many. “ (CNN)
“The Harvard team’s projections
also indicate that the virus would come roaring back fairly quickly once
restrictions were lifted.” (CNN)
Lifting off lockdown especially or
particularly, social distancing to go back to normal is critical since there is
still no developed treatment, cure, vaccine, or drug against COVID-19. The
lifting could probably brought a new wave of infections or new cases of the
virus infection.
“As the economy cost of the
pandemic mount, some government are under pressure to lift social distancing
measures to get their countries back to work.” (We Forum)
