A Quasar That Has Powerful Winds Ever

Astronomers recently spot a quasar that has a wind that is not ever seen before. A powerful wind ever to be seen in a quasar.

A quasar is the brightest galactic nucleus in a galaxy that emits powerful energy and winds or the bright center of a galaxy powered by a “supermassive black hole” on the center of the galaxy. When black hole eats matter surrounding it and blasted it out it forms quasar.

Quasar is a bright light like stars that blasted out from the black hole when black hole eats or consume a matter.

“One of the latest natures of black holes to be discovered was the blast of star-like objects emitting from galactic center. This is the quasar, which is a jet like stream of energy in epic proportion compared to other space objects around it. These two occurrences in the universe go hand-in-hand.” (Big Think)

Usually, as the reports said, in some quasars they discovered and observed previously, the winds are just “thin and wispy” that only carries a relatively small “amount of mass” but the recent new quasar they discovered and observed was very different from previously they discovered and observed. Its winds are powerful and carries a “tremendous amount of mass” they have ever seen, as the news said.

“ “While high-velocity winds have previously been observed in quasars, these have been thin and wispy, carrying only a relatively small amount of mass…..[But] The outflow from this quasar [the newly discovered],in comparison, sweeps along a tremendous amount of mass at incredible speeds. This wind is crazy powerful, and we don’t know how the quasar can launch something so substantial.”” (Space)
