US – US President Donald Trump as said in the news that according to him
there is a surge or spike of violent crimes on US major cities like New York, Chicago,
Philadelphia, Baltimore, Detroit, etc. He has send a federal law enforcement
agents to these cities to tackle the situation.
“President Donald Trump has said major US cities are
seeing a spike in crime, and has offered to send in federal law enforcement to
tackle the situation. He has denounced a string of Democrat-run cities which

But
according to BBC website in their data presented from the police department source
of respective major US cities, violent crime is down since 1990s. But murders
and shootings is seen to surge currently according to the news.

April and May, violent crime in many US cities declined significantly compared
with previous years, due in part to coronavirus lockdown measures. But
President Trump has pointed to a string of murders in certain cities, and
homicides in contrast have increased sharply in some areas.” (BBC)
According
to the news, Chicago and New York have increased a shooting incident recently
and Philadelphia in murders. President Trump have sent federal agents to the
cities.
