Bats are considered

touching only the saliva, blood and skin is much considered a great risk of
health concerned as the experts says. Actually, SARS-CoV-2 or what is known
COVID-19 came from bats as the reports said. Bats are considered also protected
wildlife.
A woman from Thailand
was caught spreading a viral video eating a bat in a bat soup without knowing
it is prohibited to eat one in her country due to coronavirus and health
concerns in her Facebook page. She now faces five (5) years imprisonment and or
will pay up to 500,000 baht for eating bat and violating a law on preservation
of wildlife in Thailand as well as computer crime act. She is Phonchanok
Srisunaklua a Khru or a teacher.
According to her she is
her first time consuming or eating a bat and she found it delicious, but she is
not trying to spread coronavirus because in her area residents there also eat bats.
After the video she said days later she is still alive, and she denied the
charges and apologizes to doctors, journalists, colleagues, family, friends, and
society for not thinking and promise she will never eat bats again.

Pattaraphon Manee-on said: ““I was shocked to see it in the clip now. Because
the incident should not happen both in Thailand and around the world, it is
very risky behavior, especially as bats have a lot of pathogens. There is no
proof that the hot water temperature will actually kill the germs. Just
touching the saliva, blood, and the skin is considered a risk,….. “Besides the
concern about the disease in bats, this woman could be guilty of breaking the
Preservation and Protection and Wildlife Act, B.E. 2019, because bats are
protected animals,””
