Why some movies are banned
from other countries to be shown? The most reason nowadays from other countries
is – homosexuality. This is why the movie “Lightyear” is banned from showing
from 14 countries just for a single same-sex lesbian kiss and a homosexual
family.
These 14 countries are
coming from Middle East and Asia. These countries include: Saudi Arabia, United
Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Syria, Egypt,
Indonesia, Malaysia, and Lebanon. But most recently in addition to the list China.
will be likely to be included as it requests also a cut on the movie but the
film producer refuse to do so.
Lightyear is an American
computer animated film that is spin-off or prequel of an also computer animated
film “Toy Story” with the leading character name Buzz Lightyear. The film was
produced by Pixar Animation Studios and Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.
The leading character in the
story or movie -Buzz Lightyear was voice by Chris Evans said those who
discriminate gays are “idiots”.
“In a recent interview with Reuters
Television, the 41-year-old Hollywood star had some strong words to describe
those who have reacted negatively about the portrayal of a same-sex family in
the film.
“The real truth is those people
are idiots,” he said. “Every time there’s been social advancement as we wake
up, the American story, the human story is one of constant social awakening and
growth and that’s what makes us good.”
Evans continued by saying that
some people will always be afraid of what they don’t know much about, and they
will try to hold on to past beliefs.”
“But those people die off like
dinosaurs,” he added. “I think the goal is to pay them no mind, march forward
and embrace the growth that makes us human.””(My Daily News)
