The country Philippines recently elected a brand-new
president after the six years administration of the incumbent president on the recently
concluded national election last May 9,2022 Monday.
The winning presidential candidate is the son of the
late former Philippine president Ferdinand E. Marcos – or so-called by
Filipinos “the dictator” – that is Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. He won the
31.6 million votes of Filipinos or 58.77 % of the votes or ballots cast in the
election. He will serve as president of the Philippines until year 2028 exactly
six years. He is the 17th President of the Philippines.
His vice-presidential running mate, Sara Duterte
Carpio, which is daughter of current incumbent Philippine president Rodrigo Roa
Duterte, won also the vice-president position with 32 million votes according
to reports.
Both Bongbong and Sara will be in office on June
30,2022.
