IZULAT Info: What Is Climate Change?

Climate or weather patterns is natural mood of a specific place and remain constant but a change is what is called “Climate Change”; and of course, there is a cause or driver of that change.

“Climate Change” as it is taught in the world is a long-term change in weather and temperature globally which heats up the globe or the planet or can also be called “global warming” and the impact of it.

Global warming happens when the so-called “greenhouse gases” remains in the planet’s atmosphere which heats up the planet or the excess amount of greenhouse gases in the planet’s atmosphere. These greenhouse gases are also called “heat trapping gases”, these include carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, halogenated gases, nitrogen oxides, and other gases. But greenhouse gases are not the only driver of the rise on temperature but also what they call “aerosols” which include sulfur dioxide, organic carbon, ammonia, black carbon, land use changes, and aviation contrails which contributes to air pollution. There are primary greenhouse gases in the planet’s atmosphere, that is : water vapor, carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, and ozone.

Excess amount of Greenhouse gases or called climate change are cause of:

1.  Burning fossil fuels like coal, oil and gas for electricity or to generate electricity, to run cars or vehicles, and to power manufacturing and industrial companies and on homes or houses and buildings.

2.  Deforestation or cutting trees and plants that absorbs carbon dioxide.

3.  Intensive agriculture which emits methane and nitrous oxide

4.  Too much consumption of such energy that emit greenhouse gases.

Prevention and Solution

To combat the emerging and soaring climate change, one can use alternative source of energy that doesn’t emit greenhouse gases and reduce consumption of energy sources that emits greenhouse gases.
